Christians believe that there is more to reality than just the material world.
Imagine light from outside breaking into these 'not so perfect' lives of ours...
God loves you and knows you by name.
God cares about you
as a person. He created you in his own image. You are priceless
in his eyes. He put you here for a purpose. Because of this, there is a greater meaning and purpose for our lives
than what we can conjure up for ourselves.
The bible puts it this way:
God's Love
"God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes
in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16).
God's Plan
[Christ speaking] "I came that they might have life, and might have it
abundantly" [that it might be full and meaningful] (John 10:10).
